Steve Neuner focuses his
attention in the areas of Bankruptcy, Commercial and Business Law,
Strategic Business and Asset Protection Planning and Real Estate. For 22
years, from 1987 to 2009, he served as a member of the panel of
Bankruptcy Trustees appointed to administer Chapter 7 and Chapter 11
bankruptcy cases in New Jersey. In that capacity, he regularly
supervised and administered millions of dollars in assets and over 500
cases per year involving everything from individuals to businesses with
multi-million dollar annual sales. He has served as Creditor's Committee
Counsel and Chapter 11 Operating Trustee for several businesses, and as
a Receiver appointed by the Superior Court of New Jersey. Mr. Neuner
represents businesses and individuals with financial difficulties,
including those seeking bankruptcy protection under the reorganization
provisions of Chapters 11 and 13 and in liquidation proceedings under
Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code. He also helps business and individual
creditors to protect their rights in and out of bankruptcy. He regularly
appears in the United States Bankruptcy Court. He is called upon on a
regular basis to be a speaker or seminar panelist discussing topics of
interest to the bankruptcy bar, and the accounting profession. He has
authored several articles discussing topics of current interest. Since
1993, he has been certified as a
Business Bankruptcy Specialist.
He was admitted to the panel of mediators for the United States
Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey and the Superior Court
of New Jersey, after completing mediation training. He also serves as a
Foreclosure Mediator in several South Jersey counties.
He has authored several articles discussing topics of current interest.

classes since 2005 with New Jersey high school seniors on
credit, credit cards and identity theft as part of the New
Jersey Bankruptcy Lawyers Foundation Financial Literacy
Project, an effort to increase awareness about credit and
the pitfalls that can lead to bankruptcy or financial
disaster. Steve spearheaded this project and the design of
the program. He actively promotes this project throughout
New Jersey and elsewhere.

bankruptcy law authority in EBRU-TV Open Forum, September
2007 on financial literacy/students at risk due to debt
problems.
On September
15, 2008 Steve gave a 2 hour presentation to the New Jersey
Society of CPA's, Southern Division, on "Bankruptcy-What a
CPA Needs to Know" The program covered the costs, risks, and
proper use of Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy for both
individuals and businesses, as well as how to protect
professional fees.
